Our Story
With Zee doesn't just start with glass but it starts at the heart of the story: Zee.
Zee joined our family in 2015 as a two year old yellow lab in need of a one dog home. Zee didn't just join the family but he had a job: to help us with a huge life transition. After my son was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes, I struggled with crippling anxiety and needed Zee to help me regulate. He helped me tremendously in finding our new normal but he also helped everyone else. From alerting low blood sugars, to kissing boo-boos, to bringing smiles- everything we did, we did with Zee. He loved playing catch, swimming, car rides, and his favorite snack was peanut butter.

While receiving my Masters in Counseling degree in 2021, I met Megan of Mack's Glass. She needed a virtual assistant for Mack's Glass and I was in need of the extra money so I jumped at the opportunity. I helped her rebuild her website, her brochures, her social media. But throughout the process of revamping, I was also learning about the art of memorial glasswork. Megan took the time to teach me about the different types of glass, the science behind the glass and ash chemistry, and the stories behind each piece. During my time with Megan, she supported me in all the roles I had and while I had to resign my position, her kindness and mentorship was something I carried close to my heart.
That's why when Zee made his way over the Rainbow Bridge in April 2025, I wanted to honor our goodest boy the only way I could fathom- through memorial glasswork. The problem was that Megan was going onto her next adventure overseas so in hopes I could find someone doing something similar, Megan reconnected with me. Megan then taught me how to create my own pieces for my family and to our surprise, I was able to recreate her work. After that, I felt comfortable taking over Mack's Glass and honoring this journey. With Zee was born from a journey of resilience, compassion, and connection. It's an honor to continue Megan's legacy and continue to bring Zee along for the ride. After all, everything we did-we did With Zee.

The Process
The process for creating a piece for you is a deeply personal experience and is treated as such. Every piece is customized to how you chose to remember your loved one and considered in the highest regard.

Once you reach out to me, you and I will meet to create a piece and understanding of how you'd like to remember your loved one. You and I will come together to discuss what types of glass, design, and setting best suited to meet your vision. Once we are on the same page, I will collect a small amount of ashes from you to begin making your piece.
After discussing the vision of your piece, the work begins! I will be using your loved one's ashes to create a piece to keep. This includes melting glass to the ash multiple times-as needed- and shaping your piece through a glass grinder. Keep in mind, it takes 6-8 weeks to perfect your piece.
